IHNFA and MLJ partnering together

This September a team of staff, and volunteers representing MLJ Adoptions will head down to Honduras for a week. This trip is planned for September 5-9th, working in the city of Tegucagalpia, and surrounding villages. During this trip we will be visiting three different orphanages to obtain information on children living in orphanages. Because of the orphan crisis (over 200,000) in Honduras, it is very hard if not possible for the government to keep track of all of them. Our goal is to partner with IHNFA to have a listing of children and tell their status, and special needs they may have. This has proven elsewhere to be effective in stating who is available to be adopted, and when teams of doctors and nurses come in, where are the needs that can be addressed most effectively.

This is an incredible opportunity for the staff to be working with the Government officials of Honduras. Having a partnership like this helps improve the life of the orphans. If this trip sounds like something that you would like to be part of here are the details below.

Date: Sept 5-9

Cost: $800 + airfare

I am working with a travel agent and will fly you out of the closest city to where you live. We will all connect in Honduras. If you prefer to travel with the group as a whole, that is also an option.

Team: Made up of MLJ Staff, IHNFA staff, and North American volunteers

Lodging: Mission house in Tegucigalpa Honduras. This is a very nice Honduran home, and is a very comfortable place to stay. Most of our meals will take place at this home, but you will need money for 2 other meals.

Transportation: We will have a van with an experience Honduran driver that will be in charge of getting the team to the destinations.
