ID-100283906MLJ Adoptions is seeking a stellar candidate for a newly-created part-time Administrative Assistant position.

The ideal candidate for this position has at least three years of administrative experience including answering and transferring phone calls, managing calendars, making travel arrangements and is highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word, and preferably Excel. The candidate should feel comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, working with detail-oriented tasks and being a part of a team committed to a vision greater than itself. Strong oral and written communication skills are a vital necessity for this position, in addition the right candidate needs to be personable, self-motivated, able to multi-task effectively and have a heart for finding families for children in need.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to MLJ Adoptions’ Operations Department, help fulfill the organization’s mission of providing exceptional customer service, and assist with business development and community outreach efforts. Each day in the role of Administrative Assistant at MLJ Adoptions will look different, but will include answering the phones, greeting building visitors, filing client information, and opening the mail.  This position will be part-time and requires working onsite in our Downtown Indianapolis office each week day. Starting pay will be approximately $10-$12/hour.
